Google Adsense Guide for Beginners

Google Adsense is nothing short of a revolution. Seamlessly bringing together advertisers and webmasters. If you are reading this I am guessing that you have already heard of Adsense and if you already have a site then I am guessing you already have some ads implemented. But if there is one thing to learn from making money online is that you do not know anything, as things are constantly changing. The beauty of adsense is that it is a resource that has huge earning potential. I have met people who are earning 3 figures DAILY from using adsense correctly. This will be a fairly comprehensive post as Adsense should be a big part of the monetization of a website.

Setting it up

If you do not have a website, there are plenty of web services that offer a comprehensive guide on implementing monetization strategies. The best of these products can be viewed here. This service offers the customer with a website featuring advertisement, conten
t, RSS feeds and options such as youtube embedding. This is the best choice for the person who doesn't have the time to learn extensive html in order to produce a
 professional looking site themselves.

Once you have a personal website, you will have to make sure you have google account. From there it is nothing but filling out forms. You can do this at google.com/adsense. After you have completed all the 'paperwork', you will be presented with the following dashboard:

From here all you have to do is follow the on-screen instructions. When you get to the point where you are presented with an html code, just copy and paste it where you want it on your site.

From cents to dollars

The implementation of adsense is the easy parts. When I first started using adsense it was at this point that I had visions of huge monthly checks from google. Boy was I wrong. To be successful with adsense requires a few more steps.

First of all you need to get traffic to your site. I have talked to several webmasters who make 5 figures from their sites and the one thing they stressed more than anything is focus on getting traffic to your website. The problem for start ups is that to get traffic you need a high google ranking, but to get a high google ranking you need traffic. I was caught in this vicious cycle when I first started making websites. Luckily I found a trick to get past this. See when google crawls a page to determine a page rank it looks not just at traffic, but also at how many 'good' sites link to your websites. This is where the good people at Bookmaring demon come in.

What bookmarking demon does is automatically establish what are known as backlinks which link to your site. This means that when google crawls your site it will see that many good sites link to your site. This is a must do if you want to increase your page ranking. You can read about this service here. This system literally guarantees that you get higher in google searches and therefore are able to generate more traffic for your website. This traffic will pay dividends in the end through adsense revenue.

Once you have higher levels of traffic, it is time to focus on the web ads and content. You will find that getting a lot of traffic brings nice revenue, but you will still not have uncovered the full potential of adsense. See the reason why many websites fail to generate much revenue is that they do not understand keyword optimization. People who search online do so with a herd mentality. What this means is that there are certain keywords which are most often searched for each niche. IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU HAVE THESE KEYWORDS IN YOUR SITE. Now you may ask "how do I find these keywords?", well that is the hard part. Fortunately there are several services out there that give you detailed search results and help you with keyword optimization. The problem is that many of these sites are scams, and the services they sell are pure shit. That is why i have stayed away from them until about a month ago. See I have a very hard time giving my money away without extensive research and countless customer reviews, and I think everybody should take on this approach, but about a month ago I was introduced by a classmate to Keyword Elite, and how it helped him double his adsense revenue. Sure enough I looked it up and after extensive research I decided to invest in it. It has been the change my websites needed. My revenue has not doubled, but it has increases by a considerable margin (from an average of $10 per day to around $15 per day). This may not sound like much but it adds up to an extra $150 a month. You can read more about Keyword Elite right here.

So for adsense success make sure to follow these steps:
  1. Get traffic to your website
  2. Keyword Optimization
Advantages:
  • passive income
  • free to implement
Disadvantages:
  • Requires small investment to reach its potential
